About your Good Cause

For a number of years Broadstairs Cricket Club has run a successful and thriving junior section the pinnacle of which was reached this year when our U13 & U15 Teams were each crowned Kent Champions, the U13's going one better by winning the Natwest National Cricket Competition.

This success has been born from a continual programme of coaching within schools and at club level which take place year round. Children as young as 5 years old are encouraged to take up cricket. Once at a level softball and hardball matches are run indoors and outdoors throughout the year to encourage further player development.

To maintain this success and encourage further participation in cricket throughout Thanet it is imperative that resources are found to fund coaches and equipment to offer opportunities within schools and the wider community.

We were one of the founder Clubmark Accredited Cricket Clubs in Kent, our desire to encourage cricket at whatever level with a pathway for those wishing to progress to play in one of our senior teams playing recreational or Kent League standard cricket.

Please help the development of Youth Cricket in Thanet and who knows we may even find the future England Captain……
